Barley Boys to perform Sunday, February 21, 2010 at Finnegan’s Irish Wake – the main parade fundraising event sponsored by The Ocean County Saint Patrick’s Day Parade Committee.
Irish Wake Co-Chairmen Tom King and Kevin Donahue organize the Wake each year. This years party, complete with the pipes and drums of the Shamrock and Thistle Band, also includes top notch Irish entertainment with the Barley Boys, singing, dancing and the obligatory traditional “casket” - in which party goers may draw lots and take turns occupying - all go to create “craic” – which in Ireland means an incredibly good time!
“This is our big fundraising event that helps fuel the Parade” says Parade Coordinator John Sweeney. “So if you’re Irish or plan to be Irish on Saint Patrick’s Day, help support the parade and call now for your Irish Wake tickets and attend this evening of Celtic wit, merriment and celebration. “
- Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door (if you can get in!)
