at the Post home on Legion court.

Post 129 was organized in October 1919 and has been located in downtown Toms River for 80 years. Veterans of all wars and conflicts are welcome.

We are named after George P. Vanderveer who was the first Ocean County boy to die of injuries incurred in WWI at the age of 18; he succumbed to injuries, shell shock and the effects of gas. George was born in 1899 and in 1999 we observed the anniversary of his 100th birthday.

Meets 10:00 a.m. the first Tuesday of every month except June & November at Fernwood Clubhouse Village VII, Falmouth Rd. off Station Road, Whiting NJ. Coffee & bun at 9:15 a.m.
The meetings for June and November are the Second Tuesday.
